Service & household load
Review the existing electrical service and planned equipment to determine the capacity your home needs.
Panel & service upgrades
Electrical panel replacement and service upgrades planned around your home, your existing system, and the equipment you want to add.

Know what you are upgrading
A panel replacement updates the equipment that distributes power to your circuits. A service upgrade increases the home’s available electrical capacity and may involve the meter, service conductors, disconnects, and utility connection.
Replacing the panel alone does not automatically give your house more power. We explain which work is needed and why before recommending a project.
What we evaluate
Planning an EV charger, hot tub, addition, or remodel? Consider those needs before choosing the equipment.
Review the existing electrical service and planned equipment to determine the capacity your home needs.
Evaluate the panel, breaker compatibility, available circuit space, and the work needed for your project.
Review the grounding and bonding system and identify improvements that belong in the scope.
Plan conduit routes, equipment placement, circuit identification, and access for future service.
When to discuss an upgrade
An older or damaged panel, limited breaker space, recurring breaker trips, or new equipment are reasons to have the system evaluated. They do not all call for the same solution.
Our starting point is the condition and capacity of the system, not an automatic recommendation to replace everything.
Planning an EV charger? What to expect
Discuss the existing system, concerns, access, and future equipment. Review the load and identify suitable options.
Explain the scope and estimate, discuss the power outage, and coordinate applicable permits, utility work, and inspections.
Complete the agreed work, identify circuits, check connections and operation, and review the finished installation with you.
Common questions
Every house is different. These are the questions we help you work through before scheduling.
Not automatically. We review the existing service, household load, and proposed equipment before recommending additional capacity. A 100 to 200 amp upgrade is one option, not a requirement for every home.
In some homes, yes. A panel replacement can address equipment condition or circuit space while keeping the same service rating. The existing service and other equipment must be suitable for the proposed work.
Not necessarily. Breaker space and electrical capacity are different things. Depending on the equipment and load review, a suitable replacement panel or subpanel may be an option.
An outage is normally part of panel or service replacement. The expected duration depends on the scope, existing conditions, utility scheduling, and inspection requirements. We discuss the outage plan before scheduling the work.
Panel size and condition, circuit count, access, service equipment, grounding work, permit requirements, and utility coordination all affect the estimate. We explain the proposed scope before work begins.
Yes. Tell us about planned EV charging, hot tubs, additions, or other electrical equipment so we can consider those loads together. You can also visit our EV Chargers page for home charging information.
